I am Shocked, Shocked…

July 26, 2010

So Wikileaks is at again, and now we have over 90,000 previously classified documents available to page through. Perhaps I spend too much time poring over news reports and think tank studies, but it seems like most of these trends were already well known, it’s only the details that are new. Which makes Wikileaks more useful to historians and other academics than anyone else, but that hasn’t stopped a torrent of journalists-reporting-on-journalism and over-analysis. My recommendation would be to keep up with the rest of the world instead of reading too many Wikileaks articles or pieces about Wikileaks.

Andrew Exum takes the cake for insta-analysis, though.
